Hello Arbor Families,

We want to keep you updated regarding the RSV shot (Beyfortus).

  • As you may have heard, there is a national shortage of Beyfortus and our supply is limited. We are trying our hardest to acquire as many doses as possible, but, for the foreseeable future, we do not have the number of doses we anticipated. We continue to attempt to place orders, to get as many doses as we can.
  • For now, we are trying to ensure that our most vulnerable, high risk patients receive the doses we do have. This will include those with high risk medical conditions (like lung or heart disease), babies born prematurely, and newborns up to 2 months of age.
  • Many insurance companies will cover the cost of the shot. However, some are not. We always recommend that you call your insurance provider to check if the shot is covered. If your child does get the shot, we’ll bill your insurance. If your plan doesn’t cover it, or if you pay out-of-pocket, your cost will be $650.

All of us at Arbor Medical Partners continue to look forward to being able to provide the RSV shot to all who need it. We will monitor the situation and update you as more information is available. Should you have questions, please reach out to your provider.
